Corduroy Ridge got its start the way all good country stories do — with a little grit, a lot of heart, and a refusal to take the easy road.

It began in St. Louis, fronted by a singer-songwriter who cut his teeth in the late ’90s and early 2000s fronting a local rock band that lived for loud guitars and honest songs. After nearly two decades away from the stage, he came back — not to chase nostalgia, but to build something new.

That vision became Corduroy Ridge, a project rooted in country storytelling but powered by the energy and emotion of Pop Punk roots. What started as a simple return to songwriting evolved into something bigger — the birth of a new sound he calls Yellowgrass: Pop Punk Country.
